🤖 Introducing Eagle 7B (5 min)

Eagle 7B has been making waves in open source because of its capabilities. They don't call it the strongest multilingual model for nothing, as its 7.52 billion parameters, RWKV-v5 architecture, and training on 1.1 trillion tokens across 100+ languages speak for themselves.

But how do we translate the complex words I've typed up there? Easily. We're talking about speed, efficiency, performance, and, most importantly, availability. The training of these types of models closes the current language gap in AI, nurturing growth and innovation worldwide.

OpenAI is collaborating with the nonprofit organization Common Sense Media. A partnership that is closely linked to their commitment to responsible AI development, exploring ways to ensure safety and prevent potential harms to kids, preteens, and teens.

A key aspect of this collaboration will involve curating "family-friendly" GPTs, soon to be available on OpenAI's GPT Store. This approach ensures that families and educators can effectively utilize these tools for something as important as teaching the next generation.

Meta has come to developers' rescue with the release of Code Llama 70B. This 70B parameter version is better at handling queries and providing more accurate responses, making Code Llama a go-to partner if you're having coding nightmares.

According to stats, it's slowly getting closer to OpenAI's benchmarks for GPT-4.

Mark Zuckerberg has stated that they're committed to keeping improving their Code Llama tools, as writing and editing code has become one of the main uses for AI.

☠️ The AI poisoning tool "Nightshade" exceeded expectations, reaching 250k downloads within five days of release. Developed by University of Chicago researchers, it offers artists a workaround, altering pixels to trick algorithms during AI model training.

💸 For Microsoft, the only way is up as the company is expected to announce a significant 15.8% increase in quarterly revenue, attributed to its ongoing efforts in AI. This surprising surge represents the strongest growth in almost two years.

😂 For laughs
